I had the 2 meat 2 side sampler for 15.99. I ordered double pulled pork. It was good fyi it doesn't come with barbecue sauce on it so be sure to remember to order it on the side it comes in 1.5 oz cups. I used 2 cups and it was still dryer than I like. Mac and cheese was good you get salt and pepper with silverware other than cheese it didnt look or taste seasoned. Collard greens was seasoned but not to my liking but still edible. The texas toast was perfect; buttery with a subtle crispness yet remarkably soft. I added a Mt.Dew to the order which added up to just under $20.

Great food. Fried pickles were great. The pickles still had a good crunch and flavor of the dill pickles with a nice crunchy outer coating. The BBQ we had was tender with the right amount of smoke. The grits, which sadly are not a permanent menu thing, were the best. They were your regular grits. These were soaked ground grits nice and creamy with a nice subtle but full cheese flavor.

If you’re looking for some quick and delicious down south-style barbecue, I would highly recommend City BBQ. Arriving on a sunny Sunday around 5:20 pm, I pulled into a well-maintained parking lot with the sight of patio furniture and umbrellas providing shade. With easy parking and even a drive-thru available, I walked in and was greeted with smiles immediately. You can see the LED menu and a full staff working behind the counter in different stations. After carefully searching the menu and asking plenty of questions, I decided on ribs, collard greens, corn pudding, and a pulled chicken sandwich. I had never been to this restaurant before, and after my many questions, a manager named Nathan took notice and offered samples to help me make my decision, which I thought was impressive. I sat down at a high-topped table, very clean, and was able to observe the drink station and barbecue sauce station to set me up before my food came. I opted for the sweet tea and lemonade mixed, which was absolutely delicious, and some extra original sauce. By the time I returned with my drink, my food was meeting me there as well, with the manager Nathan dropping off the food and making sure I was all set before carrying on to help behind the counter—once again, impressive and attentive. After a quick prayer and a glance over my food, I dug right into the collard greens with pork. They had a small kick of acidity and weren’t too salty. The ribs were falling off the bone with smokiness and a light glaze. The corn pudding was warm, sweet, with plenty of corn, and the chicken sandwich was soft and tangy with a delicate sauce mixed in with the pulled chicken. Price: $27.50 No complaints here, and I'm actually excited to try them again!

“Exactly what good BBQ should be.” City BBQ nailed it. Everything—from the meats to the sauces to the sides—tastes like it’s made with care. The service is fast, prices are reasonable, and the quality is top-notch.
